November make-up assignments are due December 4th.
Please fill out the evaluation of ECI 473 that I emailed to you as a link a couple weeks ago. Thank you for your time and thoughtfulness in this task. Your feedback is sincerely appreciated.
ECI 475 begins Tuesday, January 11 (Athens, 6:30-9:30) or Thursday, January 13 (Durham, 5:30-8:30). Two major components of this course include the Peer Pedagogy Project and an Assessment Analysis. Due to the College of Education's re-visioning of course objectives in preparation of the new teacher licensure requirements, we are phasing out the videotaping that you may have heard about from previous cohorts.
The first Super Saturday of 2011 is January 15 (10:00 - 3:00, Poe 216).
Review the expectations of 474 and 476 on the syllabus, specifically the absence policy and the participation expectation. You are permitted one Super Saturday absence per semester, and there is a make-up assignment that needs to be completed for your absence.
If you are dropped from your courses by Registration and Records due to non-payment, you will need to pre-pay with the Cashier's office before you can register again.
Should you have any questions or concerns about next semester, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be more than happy to meet with you before the holiday break.
If you are interested in student teaching in Fall 2011, please submit a formal letter of intent to Alison by February 1, 2011. See the Student Teaching Option page for more information and a copy of NCSU's Student Teaching Handbook. Then we will arrange interviews and distribute the application materials.
